Based out of the renowned Rayner vineyard in McLaren Vale, Bondar wines has made a big impression on the Australian wine scene. Established by husband and wife duo, Andre Bondar and Selina Kelly in 2012, their commitment to crafting exceptional wines has been widely lauded, including being named James Halliday’s ‘Best New Winery’ back in 2017.

Hailing from one of Australia’s premier Chardonnay region, this 2022 Bondar Adelaide Hills is made from grapes grown in a single vineyard in Echunga. All of Bondar’s fruit is hand-picked in the cool of the early morning, whole-bunch pressed and fermented naturally in French oak (approximately 25% new). All barrels were allowed to go through malo until the balance of acidity was spot on. The result is a pristine Chardonnay with the vibrancy, depth and subtle power the region is famous for.
